It started snowing again! So wonderful. We are hoping to go sledding tomorrow as there will be snow without it being so insanely cold that we can't go out. I look forward to it.
I wanted to tell you about the bus system in Madison. It's pretty amazing IF you know the timetable. Buses run infrequently outside of rush hour (and even in rush hour can go only in one direction) but if you know the time you will catch it as buses appear to run in accordance with their schedule. Amazing! In the morning my ideal scenario is that I drop Lucas early and catch the bus straight into work. That way I'm at work by 9. If I get delayed I still have 2 later options to catch but if I miss those then that's the end of rush hour buses! But fear not. Plan B is to drive back home, drop the car in my parking space and take the free campus bus which runs every 5 minutes.
However this morning I did neither! Instead I dropped Lucas then drove over to the vehicle testing center which is just down the road, and took my knowledge test. I was nervous but have to say it was pretty easy and I scored 94%. This was of course the easy part.... On Feb 24th I take my skills test, negotiating such peculiarities as the all-way stop (at intersections everyone has to stop and we all end up waving frantically at each other trying to give way) and the turn right even though the light is red rule. (If you're in the UK you don't want to practise that. Ever.)
I had a "working lunch" with a colleague in State Street, the downtown pedestrianised street which runs from Campus to the Capitol. Today we had Ethiopian food. I already had Japanese, Afghani and Indian. Next week someone is taking me for Laotian food. No wonder they say Madison is 40 square miles surrounded by reality! :-)

hi babe
just catching up with blog. big relief with bunny at cincinatti airport. have had a similar experience myself with a rabbit that went missing and had to be fedexed home from the USA.... betty won't talk about it, tho it was around the time brad walked out on jen and just before he met fishlips, so i have my suspicions... love the pic of lucas in his pushchair in front of the whitehouse. remember the famous photo of young bubba clinton meeting JFK? when you hook u with that hot lobbyist from boysie idaho, get married and citizenship, that pic will be on the front pages of the world when lucas wins the democratic nomination in 2032!! take care and keep it coming

So, you sound good my dear. I'm coming shopping next time. I am liking the truck trolley a lot. I shall be asking Sainsburys to get these asap. And thanks for the lowdown on the buses.... any chance of some train numbers as well ;-)
Good luck with the driving test.

He lieve Laar,
